Welcome

A Message from the Organising Committee

On behalf of the organising committee, it is our pleasure to welcome you to the official website for the 11th International Conference on Managing Fatigue.

This conference began in 1993, in Fremantle, Australia. Though primarily held in Australia, the conference has sometimes been held in the United States:  2005 in Seattle, 2009 in Boston, and 2017 in San Diego. We are pleased to be hosting this conference, for its 11th instalment, in Perth, Western Australia.

While the main emphasis of the conference has always been on fatigue in transportation, other sectors such as natural resources, mining, healthcare, and the military have been strongly represented. The cross-fertilization of research programs has been a particular strength of our meetings in the past and will be so again in 2026.

The conference will be held at the University of Western Australia (UWA). UWA is a leading Australian research university and has an international reputation for excellence, innovation and enterprise. It is also part of the Australian 'Group of Eight' leading research universities in Australia. The attractive campus is set on the banks of the Swan River and is close to the Perth central business district  and one of the world's largest and most beautiful inner-city parks (King’s Park).

We are planning a world class event that will include compelling and timely topics, with invited presentations from renowned speakers which will be delivered in the conference's signature relaxed and convivial style.

We extend a warm invitation and hope you will be able to join us 11th – 13th August 2026 in Perth, Western Australia.
