Biography
Dr Kylie Zee Bradfield is a Lecturer in the Faculty of Education at Monash University in Victoria. A former primary teacher, she has taught in undergraduate and postgraduate teacher education courses in Australian and UK contexts, including four years at the University of Stirling in Scotland. Her research examines teachers’ pedagogical content knowledge for literacy, language, and children’s literature. Her recent research foregrounds ecocritical approaches to children’s literature to help teachers and young readers interrogate human–nonhuman relationships in texts. Kylie is co‑editor of ALEA’s journal Literacy Learning: the Middle Years and co‑convenes ALEA’s Teacher Education Special Interest Group.
