Biography
Dr. Akiko Nagao is an Associate Professor at Ryukoku University, Japan. Her research focuses on improving English for Academic Purposes (EAP) writing in Japan, with particular emphasis on Systemic Functional Linguistics (SFL), the Genre-Based Approach (GBA) in classroom instruction, and effective writing assessment. Through her scholarship and classroom-based work, she contributes practical, research-informed perspectives on genre pedagogy and academic writing development, supporting the advancement of literacy research and practice in EFL contexts.

Biography
Miss Aisha Sultana is a research scholar at the Centre for English Language Studies, University of Hyderabad. Her PhD research is on Authorial Voice in Writing in a Classroom Context, and she is currently in the fourth year of her programme. Her areas of research interest include English language teaching, language acquisition, and assessment.

Biography
Vinh To is a Senior Lecturer in English Education at the University of Tasmania. Her research interest includes educational linguistics, English, literacy and languages education. She is Convenor of SFLIG Conferences, and Editor of SFLIG research books and special issues. Her publications appear in top quartile journals such as the Australian Journal of Linguistics, the International Journal of Early Years Education, the Australian Journal of Language and Literacy. She is co-author of Language and literacy: Essential knowledge for all teachers, published by Cambridge University Press (2025). She has been invited to deliver international keynotes in Vietnam, Lithuania, Spain, and Indonesia.
