Biography
Alison L. Hilton (EdD) is a Lecturer of Education at Murdoch University, Australia in the School of Education. She currently holds a professional Doctor of Education. Her most recent work explores ableism and inequity for teachers and pre-service teachers with disability. Her continued research focus draws on lived experiences giving voice to communities and individuals often disempowered by educational systems.

Biography
Karen Rogers is Head of Literacy and Teacher Librarian P-6 at Xavier College in Kew; an independent Jesuit school for boys in Melbourne. Previous roles include Head of Literacy and Victorian State Manager for PETAA as well as tutoring and placement supervision roles at the University of Melbourne. Karen has been an active member of ALEA since her own initial teacher education and thrives on the opportunities to connect with other enthusiastic literacy educators.
