Biography

Phoebe has worked in the NSW Government across contaminated sites, waste, biodiversity and land management since studying science and law. After seconding to the Office of the NSW Minister for Environment and Heritage and working for a Judge at the Land and Environment Court, Phoebe returned to the NSW EPA as a leader setting up Return and Earn, NSW’s beverage container deposit scheme. As Manager Circular Economy Policy she currently leads plastics reform and product stewardship work on batteries, solvents and packaging.

Biography

A senior resource recovery industry specialist, Zoltan oversees Product Stewardship portfolios for Ecocycle and its subsidiary Ecobatt including NTCRS and B-Cycle programs, collaborating with governments and industry stakeholders nationally in the area of regulatory reform, battery safety, collection, transport, storage, energy neutralisation and word-leading recycling processes for majority of battery chemistries and battery formats.

Biography

Daniel has been with Veolia since December 2006 in a range of senior operations roles. This has included project management for a number of infrastructure sites in Victoria and the operations management of both collections and infrastructure business units in WA. Since 2018, Daniel’s key responsibility is the management of Veolia's infrastructure in WA and the NT. He ensures the quality and safe management of waste processing and disposal at all Veolia WA and NT facilities.With a strong engineering background and deep technical knowledge, Daniel efficiently manages and oversees operations of our resource recovery facilities, guaranteeing the best possible outcomes for our clients.

Adrian Wiley

Biography

Adrian Wiley is the Executive Director, Circular Economy at the Department of Water and Environmental Regulation (DWER) in Western Australia. Adrian has been leading the Circular Economy team since late 2022, delivering policy advice to government and supporting the Waste Authority to implement the WA Waste Avoidance and Resource Recovery Strategy 2030. Adrian also oversees the delivery of significant programs and initiatives, including WA’s Plan for Plastics and Container Deposit Scheme. Previously Adrian has led teams responsible for environmental regulation, regulatory reform, and policy development and implementation. He brings a strong foundation and knowledge in regulation, policy development and government decision making, having served as a policy advisor to four separate Ministers across both Liberal-National and Labor state governments. Adrian holds tertiary qualifications in Environmental Biology and Politics.
