Biography
Mitchell is the Coordinator of Waste Services at the Shire of East Pilbara, responsible for coordinating the Shires landfill and recycling operations as well as implementing waste education and sustainability programs. Through his career he has developed a passion for local government, community development and sustainable initiatives.

Biography
Trish Kursar is the Circular Economy Coordinator at EMRC, bringing 11 years of experience in waste management and over 17 years in local government. A passionate and dedicated educator, Trish consistently promotes behaviour change. She wrote one of the first Waste Education Plans in WA, participated in the 2015 Bin Tagging Pilot program and holds a Certificate III in Waste Management. A strong advocate for the FOGO 3-bin system and reducing textile waste, Trish has found her dream role at EMRC, where she thrives in an environment that shares her commitment to circularity values and principles.

Biography
Emily Tomsett brings over 13 years of experience working across various waste processing facilities in Western Australia. With a strong educational background in Social and Developmental Psychology and Sustainable Development from Murdoch University, Emily has always been driven by her passion for culture and a deep understanding of human behaviour. She uses this expertise to lead innovative community engagement initiatives that drive connection and circularity. As Chair of the Waste Educators Networking Group and the WA representative for Waste Education at WMRR, Emily is committed to fostering a circular economy in WA.
