Submission Portal


Thank you for interest in presenting at the 2024 Waste & Resource Recovery Conference

This portal will guide you through the submission process. 

Submissions need to give an overview of the presentation and the way in which your session contributes to one of the Conference streams or the overall theme. When submitting please choose the stream you think fits best.

 


Conference Stream


The Conference streams build on this years theme 'A Path to 80%'. You are welcome to nominate a stream (listed below) for your presentation and we will do our best to accommodate this. 

 

1.     Regional and remote management across the hierarchy to manage material (resource recovery, organics, AD, landfill, etc)

2.     Maximising material lifecycle (including waste avoidance)

3.     Infrastructure across all areas of the hierarchy

4.     Product stewardship and extended producer responsibility

5.     Building resilience - contingency and disaster waste management planning

 

All abstract submissions close 5pm Friday 14 June 2024.

 


Presentation Format


A presentation focused on a topic related to one of the Conference streams, 15 minutes in total, with Q&A to take place at the end of the session.

 


Guide to Submitting


All submissions will be presented to the Conference Program Committee who will assist in the selection process.

Other guidelines for submission:

  • Submissions should be a maximum of 400 words. The synopsis needs to include an overview of the topic, a brief explanation or statement about how it relates to the conference themes, who your presentation is pitched at (name, position, and organisation), and what participants can expect to get from attending.
  • Biographies are limited to 50 words and need to be written using complete sentences and in the third person. Your biography should contain information relative to your current position, career history and related professional achievements.
  • Submissions are submitted online, via the login below
  • Your submission should be text only, with limited or no references
  • Submitting implies your consent to have your submission published in the final Conference program
  • Multiple submissions are permitted, please submit separate forms for each submission
  • Your submission will appear in print as submitted. Please ensure you check your data carefully before submitting as changes or additions cannot be made after the closing date
  • You will receive a confirmation email acknowledging receipt of your submission and an attachment with the details you have entered
  • Abstract submissions close Friday, 14 June. Submissions will be reviewed by the Conference Committee and authors notified by mid July 2024
