DR MIKE LENNÉ 

Mike is recognised as a global authority in human factors and a leading scientist in human cognitive states. Over the course of his career, he has designed solutions that enhance human-technology interactions.

Following completion of a PhD in Psychology examining driver fatigue and impairment, Mike enjoyed a distinguished academic career, gaining widespread recognition as a Professor in Human Factors at Monash University.

He joined Seeing Machines in 2014 as Chief Scientist Human Factors, where he founded our world-leading research team in human factors and safety science. Mike then, as GM of our Aftermarket business, brought our Guardian product and service to global customers. Until early 2025, he led the Innovation teams responsible for our technology strategy and roadmap that drive our Research and Development – leading the development of technology that optimises how people and AI can work together most effectively.

He currently serves as inaugural Chief Safety Officer, overseeing global policy and regulatory initiatives, thought leadership, and safety-centred customer engagement. He leads outreach efforts alongside research focused on safety science and user experience. In this role, he fosters global partnerships with customers, research organisations, and safety groups to advance the global safety agenda.

He holds a BSc (Hons), Global Executive MBA and a PhD in Human Factors Psychology. He is an Adjunct Professor at the Centre for Human Factors and Sociotechnical Systems at the University of the Sunshine Coast.
