Terms and Conditions

When registering to attend the conference, you accept the following registration terms:

Conference fees and payments

All prices are stated in Australian Dollars [$AUD] and are inclusive of GST. Tax invoices will be issued via email once registration is complete. Requesting changes to the invoice once it has been generated and sent may incur a fee. 

Conference registrations must be paid in full prior to the conference. Your registration will not be confirmed until full payment has been received.

Registration categories

'Members' are defined as current financial members (individual or school-based) of ALEA.

Members of the International Federation for the Teaching of English (IFTE), International Literacy Association (ILA), the New Zealand Literacy Association (NZLA), the New Zealand Association for the Teaching of English (NZATE) and associations affiliated with IFTE and the ILA may register at the ALEA Member Rate.

Student members of ALEA or state/territory ETAs may register at the Student Rate.

Cancellations and withdrawals

Refunds will be offered 31+ days prior to the Conference date. Cancellation is not permitted within 30 days of the Conference date.

Cancellations must be submitted in writing to alea@eventandconferenceco.com.au and will incur an administrative fee of $100. No refunds will be accepted after that date, but substitute delegates are welcome. No refunds will be given for non-attendance but substitute delegates are welcome.

Privacy

Event & Conference Co. takes the privacy of its users and subscribers seriously. We are committed to safeguarding the privacy of our users while providing a personalised and valuable service. This Privacy Policy Statement explains the data processing practices of E&C co. Use of personal information

We process personal information collected via the site for the purposes of Conference organisation. The information is provided to conference organisers and conference convenors of Australian Literacy Educations Association 2026 National Conference.

Personal information is collected by us. We collect personal information from you through the use of enquiry and registration forms and every time you e-mail us your details.

We also collect information automatically about your visit to our site. The information obtained in this way, which includes demographic data and browsing patterns, is only used in aggregate form.

Use of cookies

We use may “cookies” to identify you when you visit the site and to build up a demographic profile.

Event App

We will be utilising an Event App throughout the conference to maximise delegate engagement. As part of the app your name, title, and company name will be shared as well as your contact details if you wish to do so. Photography

This event will include photography and or videography. If you do not wish to be photographed please contact our team or visit the registration desk at the event.
